Mechanical Engineering

Eye-level view of a classroom filled with engaged students

Gabrielle Greenfield is a senior at St. George’s Technical High School in the Technical Drafting career pathway, where she has developed a strong interest in design and engineering. Her curiosity about how things work and desire to transform creative ideas into real-world innovations inspire her to pursue a college degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Leadership and service have played an important role in Gabrielle’s personal growth. As the Executive Activity Coordinator for the National Honor Society and a member of Leading Ladies, she has strengthened her skills in collaboration, community engagement, event planning, and leadership while serving as a positive role model to her peers. Through the Delaware Futures program, she received the Hope for the Future Award, which continues to motivate her to strive for excellence and encourage others to do the same.

The PCW Excellence in Education Scholarship would support Gabrielle’s academic and career journey by helping alleviate the financial challenges associated with pursuing a college degree. This support would allow her to focus more fully on developing the knowledge and skills needed for a successful career in engineering.

Gabrielle is committed to paying it forward by mentoring younger students interested in STEM. She hopes to demonstrate that with hard work, determination, and the right support, they can achieve their goals and pursue their dreams.
