Healthcare Management

As a young African American woman attending a predominantly White college-preparatory high school, Taylor Fitzgerald aspires to pursue a college education and major in Healthcare Management. She is eager to expand her knowledge in the field while finding and building communities where she feels supported and uplifted.
Taylor is deeply committed to serving others. She has completed more than 150 hours of community service throughout high school. As Vice President of the Young People’s Department at her church, she has led food and clothing drives, coached a youth soccer team, and supported community events. In college, Taylor plans to continue serving by volunteering with local organizations and supporting those in need through her time, talents, and resources.
The PCW Excellence in Education Scholarship would greatly support Taylor’s academic and career goals. She plans to attend Hampton University to pursue a degree in Healthcare Management and ultimately work with older adults in a retirement community. Taylor hopes to create safe, healthy, and supportive environments for residents while “paying it forward” through compassionate service. Her dedication to education, community, and service makes her a deserving recipient of this scholarship.
